DIRECTION

A FEW THINGS YOU MAY WANT TO KNOW.

When looking for a professional finisher there are a few things that you should keep in mind:

First, they should have experience and training. A good finisher should have taken a host of classes to specialize in their trade and increase their knowledge base. Many have not.

Second, do you like what you see? Have they shown you samples that look professional? Sample boards are part of the process, they should have a portfolio to show you.

Third, if they don’t measure how do they do it? I can’t imagine giving a quote over the phone. I base my estimate on measurement to ensure the amount of product I buy is correct.

Fourth, they need to be insured to protect your property. Basic liability coverage would cover you up to 1 million. A professional will have it, I know I do.

Fifth, Communication is key. Being on time, communicating well and listening to a client is so important it really should be first.
